The Aquabatics Calgary<\/a> team has a good instructional video on how to boof a kayak. I think it’s helpful that it’s tailored to moderate whitewater, which makes it more usable for a lot of people (even though the concepts and moves are fundamentally the same as they would be on more difficult stuff).<\/p>\n

Notice the edge transitions, which are nicely demonstrated. And remember, the key to great progression is getting comfortable with hard moves on easier whitewater. <\/strong>You can often make your own Class III, IV and even V moves on runs that are a class or two easier just by trying attainments and hard ferries.<\/p>\n

Just because everybody else is bopping down the river without catching eddies and making ferries doesn’t mean you have to. :)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
